Who is Luma? Luma is my most excellent domestic medium-haired feline child. He is named after Petaluma, the city north of San Francisco, CA where my parents met on a cruise up the Petaluma River. For this site, it is also a reference to Luna, or the moon, and the implications of gravity and the tides/currents on sailing. We are all subject to both our personal history and the pull of the moon. Cheers, Andrew.
